MEMORIAL DAY – May 29, 2017
The Union Springs Memorial Day committee would like to extend an invitation to all residents, businesses, and visitors to show the American Colors with PRIDE this Memorial Day. Flags that are displayed downtown by the Village, the large American Flag displayed by the School, and the flags on the graves placed by the Walter T. Conley American Legion Post 1107 are just the beginning. We would like the entire community decorated in the RED, White, and BLUE.
The Parade will begin shortly after the Memorial Service at the cemetery around 11:10 am. We would like to invite you to the service at Frontenac Park at the end of the parade route where once again there will be music, gun salutes, prayers, and speeches. We need everyone to display excellent audience behavior:
- Please refrain from talking during prayers and speeches
- Remind the youth of quality audience behavior by demonstrating good listening skills
The committee would like to thank you in advance for your help in honoring our fallen soldiers.
