Message from Legislator Keith Batman
My first 2 and 1/2 years as your legislative representative, and recently as Chair of the County Legislature, have been busy and rewarding. I am pleased that I could help a number of Scipio residents resolve County concerns, and I encourage anyone who has an issue in the future to let me know. I cannot promise to resolve the issue, but I can promise to do all I can on your behalf.
The County’s budget is a challenge, and I am working with other members of the Legislature to move toward a budget that is balanced and that continues to support the services which we all expect from the County as well as the services that we are mandated by the State to provide. Most importantly, I want to support a budget that reflects your thoughts and needs.
To get a better idea of your priorities as well as your concerns, complaints and kudos, I am holding a series of public hall meetings to discuss the budget, county services, issues of concern and any other topics you might wish to bring up.
The sessions are as follow, and you should feel free to attend any one (or more) that are convenient, whether in Scipio or another location.
